There's this burnt, deformed female puppy, named Blackie, that nobody wants to buy on Craigslist. Mr. Millanger is moving, & he has been trying to get rid of Blackie for a long time. Mr. Millanger is forced to move because his meth-addicted son, Bailey, set both the kitchen & the bathroom on fire 8 months ago. That's how Blackie became the way she is. Mr. Millanger felt discouraged & upset, & he kept trying to get rid of her ever since. But he held on to her for so long. Nobody would take her, even for free. Not even the ASPCA. The ASPCA was too full & couldn't take in any more animals.
Blackie used to be an all blue-gray color until her injury occurred. She almost died. She still doesn't have that much longer to live. Her veterinarian is at wits end on what to do with her.
Mr. Millanger wants to pull his hair out because all Blackie does all day is cry from the burns & make diarrhea everywhere because of the medicine. He even put up a GoFundMe for the dog, in hopes to save & rehabilitate her. He was trying to raise $75,000 because he has overdue vet bills. The GoFundMe raised $96,916.
Blackie died on Monday, September 16, shortly after he got the funds for her healing. Mr. Millanger ended up using the GoFundMe to bury Blackie right next to his deceased parents, & he also used that money to start a charitable foundation for both animals & humans who are burn victims.
