Fun Friday
When I (the author, Candy Grandpre) was in elementary school, there used to be an event, called "Fun Friday", where we would be able to buy candy for a quarter, back in the early 90's. So, that's where the inspiration of the title comes from.

Here's the short story I have.

Luxor woke up in an upbeat, happy mood one Friday morning. He showered, brushed his teeth, shaved his face & bald head, & then ran downstairs, dancing & shouting. Shucks! He even started to act like he was doing the Hokey Pokey dance. Shortly afterwards, a gray Mazda CX-9 SUV passed by, blasting Aaliyah's "Back & Forth" song. He forgot it was Friday until he heard that song, & then he started jamming to it for the few seconds that the SUV passed by.
Luxor likes to research random things alot, so he googled what other songs either have "Friday" in the title or in the lyrics. He played the soundtracks to all those "Friday" movies. & he even played Rebecca Black's song, "Friday". 😂🤦♀️
After a few hours, he made his own brunch at home. He's a professional chef at a high scale restaurant. He made his own salmon benedict, similar to what you would find at the New Orleans-based Ruby Slipper Cafe'. He's a single bachelor, after all. He was off from work that day & decided to go later on that night with some friends to go do some good ol' fashioned cosmic bowling! He hasn't gone bowling in years, but was still very good at it.
Luxor met up at the Irish Pub with some friends & had a couple of drinks & food before heading out to go bowling. He met a potential new girlfriend, named Dessalyn, who was a bartender, wearing skimpy skirts as part of her work uniform. Luxor told his friend, (a guy named Kelly) about how he would even sell his soul to the devil, if that's what it takes to get to Dessalyn. They both talked about how good she looked. Even other guys were trying to sexually get at her for the night. Luxor was so thirsty (desperate) for her, that he tipped her $10,000 after just 2 drinks. Yes, $10K!
Kelly said, 'Well, Luxor. You might as well call yourself Luster, the way you keep lusting over her, bro. It's not that serious!"
Then, Dessalyn seductively asked, "Luster, I need a doctor. Can you take care of me?" & then she flirtatiously licked her lips like a snake & called him, "Dr. Lusty!"
Luxor said, "I'll take care of you, alright!" & he was stunned & frozen by her good looks.
Dessalyn so happened to be getting off from work JUST in time, & so she joined everyone in the decision to go to the bowling alley. (I think that Dessalyn is a witch who put a love spell on Luxor). She got him with her witchcraft, & he got her with his money.
They all had SO much fun that Friday night, but early Saturday morning was NOT so fun. Kelly wanted everyone to go to another bar, after the bowling alley session. They drank heavily. No one was fit or sober enough to drive home. Taxi's, Uber & Lyft don't serve the area where they live.
Kelly, Luxor, & Dessalyn were in the car, & Kelly was driving. Kelly got injured very badly & got whiplash. All 3 of them survived the car that crashed into the building of the bar that they just tried to leave. Luxor had only minor injuries. Dessalyn was 100% unharmed, miraculously!
Kelly was supposed to get a DUI, but the police officer was merciful enough to give all 3 of them the gospel & prayed for all 3 of them. No one got punished because the officer knew that they were young & foolish. About 21-22 years old. Officer Brent McKelly said that he KNEW that Dessalyn was a Satanic witch, trying to sacrifice both guys. He angrily rebuked all 3 of them, but with godly love. He ESPECIALLY called out Dessalyn & KNEW she was a witch, trying to sacrifice those 2 men on a ritual Halloween early in the morning @ 3 AM. The car crashed at 3 AM exact! Her blood sacrifice ritual failed! Officer McKelly told them that he wanted them to be saved & go to heaven.
He urged all 3 of them to go to the hospital & get checked out. Kelly was more damaged than everyone originally thought, & he had to get emergency surgery because a piece of metal from the car pierced 1 of his lungs. He survived that! He was in intensive care in the hospital for a few months.
Luxor got spooked when he saw how bad Kelly's injuries were. He realized how foolish he was for saying that he's willing to sell his soul to Satan, just to have Dessalyn, who really didn't have his best interest at heart. She really had him fooled. All 3 of them were scared.
Dessalyn did a WHOLE 180 degree turn on her life. She realized that she was fooled by her Satanic coven, & she completely separated herself from everyone evil. She started doing a lot of fasting, praying & Bible reading. She asked God to forgive her & her friends for their reckless lifestyles. She asked the 2 guys to join her in fasting, praying & Bible reading, after Kelly healed from his injuries. Kelly had to have a wheelchair & a back brace.
After awhile, Kelly & Luxor were seen on the street corners, with fire & brimstone street preaching. Dessalyn said, "As a teen, I used to be a cheerleader. During my 1st 2 college years, I used to have a sugar daddy, & I also used to prostitute, standing on the street corners, standing adjacent to where we're standing." Then, she said, "Those men from those days are going to be shocked at what they see me doing now".
So, Dessalyn was holding up signs, telling people to repent or perish. The sign said, "Repent or perish. Our souls are NOT to be played with! Trust the Lord Jesus Christ today. Forget tomorrow! 5 minutes from now is NOT promised!"
