Goofy Zoofy

6-year old 1st grader, Zoe, has a list of science homeschool assignments that her mother, Danielle wants her to choose from. Zoe has a dominant personality & demands what she wants. She said that she didn't care about the list, didn't want to do any assignments on the list, & just wanted to go to the San Diego Zoo.

Her mom said, "Oh, you got jokes, huh?" Then Zoe 🤭 giggled, covering her mouth.

Zoe said, "I'll show you a joke!" & then put a miniature rubber ducky inside of Danielle's shirt & then ran away, laughing.

Danielle caught her daughter, & then she started tickling her, & they were play wrestling. Zoe helped her mom pack up a lunch. Again, Zoe wanted to do it independently. All by herself.

After that, Snag-a-toothed Zoe turned to her mom & asked her, "Mommy. I bet you I can drive myself to the zoo!"

Danielle said, "Hmm... We'll see about that. What happened to that toy Jeep that your daddy got'cha?" Zoe put her head down & had a sad look on her face. Then, she said that her uncle Chris took it back because he wanted to fix it up to look more fancy. Zoe said that the toy Jeep was fine, the way it was.

So, they got in the REAL, teal-colored Jeep & rode to the San Diego Zoo. They were cracking jokes on the way. Jokingly calling each other names. Danielle said, "How about I call you Goofy Zoofy, since your name is Zoe, & you're acting goofy on the way to the zoo?" Then, Zoe laughed the whole rest of the ride, on the way to the zoo.

Zoe dared to be different. She didn't care to see the common animals, like otters, penguins & polar bears. She came there for the rare animals that people never really heard of, like the takin, Nubian Ibex, serval, & klipspringer. She feels that those rare animals suit her because she thinks they have goofy names because they're uncommon.

Soon after, they went to the gift shop, & Danielle was disappointed because Zoe didn't want anything. Instead, they went to "Five Below" store, & Zoe picked out a coloring book about animals. Zoe said, "Let's color together. I bet'cha I can do better than you!"

On the way home, they stopped by In-N-Out burger for dinner, & then they had a coloring contest. Danielle bought a Neapolitan milkshake & put it in the freezer. Whoever won the coloring contest won. Zoe colored a picture of a bee, while Danielle colored a picture of flamingos. Danielle PURPOSELY scribbled all over the coloring page, like a baby, & let Zoe "win" the contest, so that Zoe can have the shake. Zoe loved the shake.

Danielle let Zoe have an herbal bubble bath afterwards, while Danielle took an Epsom salt bath with lavender oil, coconut oil & bentonite clay (since they were walking around all day) & then they went to bed.
