Timberwood: Short Stories Edition Vol. 5
Dinky (Aaron Garcia) is upset that his dad, Aurelio, put him in the Timberwood summer camp program. Many of the kids hate the camp. They all hate the mean van driver, Mrs. Jacqueline Smith. Mrs. Jackie. Dinky makes sure to give Mrs. Jackie & the other staff a problem EVERY DAY!
One morning, the children had to line up against the wall, after being dropped off & then security searched. 1 girl from the UK, Katie, who looks like Margaret from Dennis the Menace, got in BIG trouble because she didn't know that her mother stuck a lunch bag in her backpack. She had a banana, a pack of almonds, 2 stalks of celery & some leftover sweet potato pie from Sunday's church dinner. The kids weren't allowed to eat their own food or bring any money, & they were forced to eat Timberwood food. (Timberwood never respects people's personal rights or preferences.) Bad enough Katie got bullied for her red hair, freckles & big eyeglasses that matched the color of her hair & freckles. She even got made fun of for her British accent.
As a punishment, Katie's food was confiscated & then thrown in the garbage can, right in front of her face. Mrs. Janice, one of the Timberwood police officers, threatened to "give her something to cry for" if she didn't dry up her tears. (Come on, the girl already gets bullied enough!) So, Katie was forced to choose between burnt pizza & spaghetti O's with sour white milk for her lunch (to mock & make fun of her appearance), instead, while the other kids had Shrimp Etouffe' with rice, caesar salad, cornbread muffin & turtle brownie with a gourmet cherry flavored soda on the side. Just RUBBING it in her face for something that wasn't her fault, & beyond her control!
The first day of the summer camp was a leisure day for the kids, & they kept begging to go swimming. They were mesmerized by the large star-shaped saltwater pool with the diving board. 12 ft. deep. No one was allowed to swim until after 2 weeks of good behavior in the program, & also parents' approval.
Fast forward to the 3rd week of summer camp, & everyone FINALLY gets to go swimming. Same routine. The children excitedly get out of the van & then have to line up against the wall, after being ran through by security. All of their belongings checked. Then, they eat jumbo breakfast burritos (tortilla with eggs, black beans, shredded cheddar cheese, onions, purple bell peppers, shredded yellow carrots & salsa). They also ate cinnamon rolls & had a choice between white milk, chocolate milk or strawberry milk + either apple juice, pineapple juice, orange juice or grape juice. Timberwood kids LOVE to eat, & are VERY energetic. The kids had to sit down in the cafeteria & socialize for 2 hours, until it was time to go swimming.
Olivia & her twin brother Roland got smacked by Mrs. Gertrude for chewing on each end of their towels. Some kids were playing catch, with their towels. 1 boy kept swinging his towel in the air. Mrs. Gertrude was a mean, abusive bully, herself. The twins' mom wanted to press charges on Mrs. Gertrude for assault.
The kids finally arrived at the pool area, along with the staff members. Whoever couldn't swim had to go to the round kiddie pool. The kids bully & tease each other for any & every little thing. The kids who couldn't swim got teased.
An autistic boy, named Brandon kept staring at Zoe's feet, & Zoe was trying to figure out why. She was only 6. Zoe asked her twin siblings why he kept staring at her feet. She said, "Why that boy keep staring at my feet, man! Why he can't go stare at somebody else's feet?" Roland said, "Maybe he thinks your feet are big & ugly!" Then, Zoe got mad & then jumped in the pool. Then, every time Roland passed by, she threw water on him.
There was a group of kids who got in trouble for playing Marco Polo. The kids were complaining because they wanted to do flips & cannon balls on the diving board, but weren't allowed (for safety reasons). Only dive properly or jump. The adults 18 & over were allowed to flip.
Kelsie was crying because she was afraid of the water. Her older brother Earl, Jr., who they call "Curl", was trying to help give her courage, but then she nearly drowned. Luckily, she didn't. But she vomited, & everyone was forced to vacate the pool for 30 minutes while they sanitize & clean. Everyone got mad. Then, Kelsie was forced to go home early. About 5 minutes after everyone was allowed to get back in the pool, it started to have INTENSE thunder, lightning & almost IMMEDIATE heavy rain, out of NOWHERE! & everyone had to cancel the rest of the day.
A week later, a Black gay man named Melvin Mopkins, a janitor, got angry because he felt like he was treated with racial discrimination & homophobia because he got blamed for 1 of the kids causing the toilet to overflow. There was a BIG ghetto argument between the staff & the people who came together to defend Melvin. Many pots & pans slangin' & bangin' after the argument ended up in the kitchen. It was SCARY! & the kids had to eyewitness all the commotion.
Patricio was having an OVEREXAGGERATED panic attack & acting all overdramatic. Joe Tanner threatened to file a lawsuit. One manly man from Harlem, NY said, "Since when are y'all gonna learn that Timberwood is untouchable & above the law?" After that, everyone froze. Awkward silence for nearly a good 1/2 hour. Then, many of the staff members threatened to quit. The Harlem guy, Omar said, "Y'all CAN'T quit! Y'all'd be some DUMMIES if y'all quit! That's where all the money's at, man! Now, let's do this for the kids." Then, everyone had to leave early.
Many staff members didn't show up the next day, so some of the older teens were forced to fill in. They were falsely promised double pay of the adult staff, if they worked. Mrs. Gertrude didn't lose her job, even after assaulting another child. She was the 1 who didn't credit some of the teens for working.
Zechariah, Mrs. Jackie's younger brother got mad & threatened THREE TIMES, to set the cafeteria on fire, since he was mad about Mrs. Gerty cheating them out of their checks & lying when payday came around! None of those kids received a PENNY of their money! Coincidentally, the kids were forced to eat only burnt biscuits, runny eggs, rotten bananas & undercooked bacon with sour milk for breakfast that morning. Zecky wasn't playing! He pushed his friend Tyrique up to set the cafeteria on fire. The fire was a HUGE battle to put out, but no one got harmed. Everyone was safe. Tyrique got arrested & went to jail, but Zecky didn't get into any trouble. (In normal life outside of the cult, Zecky would've gone to jail for being an accessory to a crime.)
Dinky said that it wasn't fair for Zecky to not have to go to jail. Then Zecky told him, "So what! My grandpa is a Mason.", & then he threw up the pyramid hand sign & walked off.
Mr. Raynard said, "That's what Timberwood gets for so much wickedness! They reaped what they sowed. It's a shame that they use those kids for slave labor & promote racism, colorism, homosexuality & other sins. & then they drag the kids into it. They're ALWAYS trying to emulate & be too much like Hollyweird! I'm sick of all this! I've HAD ENOUGH, & I'm out! This is a bizarre cult. God will protect me." 2 days later, he was found hanging from the ceiling in his garage. Someone murdered him, & it was covered up as a suicide. Timberwood DARED his daughter Tashonda to put up a GoFundMe to ask for help with funeral expenses! They forced her to allow them to cremate him. She said that she believes that cremation is an unbiblical Satanic ritual. She wasn't allowed to have a say-so in her father's death. Then, they put her in the PRISON psych ward, to never be seen or heard of again!
