From Rags to Riches: A Different Spin

From Rags to Riches: A Different Spin

Blaise, a 23-year old former gang banger, grew up in Compton, CA & joined the Crips. The Crip lifestyle was all she knew, because that's all she grew up with & hung around. She also was a gangster rapper, by the moniker "Blazer the Tazer" because of a past experience with being tased by cops & arrested after an armed robbery.

However, she wanted out of the Crip gang & wanted to try something new. She wanted to quit homosexuality & rapping, as well. She got tired of getting into trouble all the time. She also got tired of so much drama & fighting that came with being a lesbian. Then, she started acting & dressing up more feminine. Everyone thought she looked exotic because she's 1/2 Belizean 1/2 Korean. She was offered a modeling contract & dabbled into modeling for a while, but didn't make it big. That still wasn't satisfying or fulfilling to her.

Hurt after hurt, she was on a journey to the path of truth. What made her quit modeling, was her experience with being sex trafficked, raped & impregnated by a Cambodian Crip, who was also a pimp, long after she left the Crip gang. That changed her life. During the rape, she called upon Jesus Christ to save her. She also made an overnight decision to quit doing drugs.

Blaise kept reading her Bible & praying, while she was pregnant with her son, Kim Soo. She joined a Korean church & dealt with a cruel, judgmental, narcissistic, money-hungry fake pastor, so she left that church. Even though she had failed attempts at chasing money & fame in her past, she wondered why so many churches were similar to the one she went to. She said to herself, "There HAS TO BE more to church & salvation than the greed for money & destroying people's lives". She knew that that wasn't what Jesus Christ or the Holy Bible represented.

After her beautiful son, Kim Soo was born, she left all those fake churches for good, & it was just her & her son. She did more bible reading & praying. A lifestyle of serving Jesus Christ made her feel richer & more fulfilled than the previous lifestyle she was chasing. She was able to afford to move to Knoxville, TN for a safer life than gangs, sodomy, crime & drugs. Her son, Kim Soo aspired to be a street preacher when he grew up. Not a doctor, a rapper, a lawyer or a mechanic. A street preacher!
