Sunshine's Flip Flops

The weather is still warm here in the south. 90 degrees. It's the 1st day of autumn. People are still swimming in beaches, lakes, rivers; you name it.

Erica is known by the nickname, "Sunshine", since she likes to go jogging near the river at around sunrise every morning after her morning coffee. She tracks the sunrise & sunset every day. She doesn't eat early morning breakfast, yet she loves breakfast food. She likes to have the best of both worlds. She enjoys daily brunch & dinner.

She likes to wear each birthstone according to the current month. In honor of her birthday month, which is the following July of the next year, she'll be wearing ruby earrings throughout the entire month. She has some comfortable red beach flip flops to match.

For her daily brunch for the month, she'll be eating a fusion of red velvet pancakes with peach compote filling & whipped cream, while having a multi-flavored 4-flight mimosa. She also likes her pork cochon with pork tasso cream sauce over poached eggs on the side.

Once July of that next year came around, Erica invited her friend Janissa over for brunch one Sunday before 11 AM service. (They both share the same birth month.) Janissa was excited, raving about Erica's flip flops, talking about how bomb they are. Janissa just couldn't stop talking about Erica's flip flops. She let the WHOLE TOWN know.

The following Sunday, Janissa bough matching flip flops, & then the flip flops went locally viral all over town. Everyone started wearing them. At the same time, Janissa was also letting the neighborhood know the brunch dishes that Erica likes to whip up in the kitchen. Janissa tried to step up her creativity game by making a whole BENEDICT out of the pancakes, eggs & pork cochon. You would've thought it was NASTY! She had everyone hooked. She was saying, "Don't knock it until you try it!"

Erica & Janissa started making brunch plates for church. From then on, they would wear their red flip flops (representing Jesus's blood shed on the cross for everyone's sins), while serving up wacky dishes. Very explosive & flavorful. They didn't want to charge people because they wanted to do the Lord's work. Their ministry even ventured out to them sending red flip flops, King James Version Holy Bibles & also some recipes to the poor & needy, for free. Even sending them out to poor countries in Africa & Asia. They didn't want to make a profitable business out of it because they were focused on being commissioned to be about their Father's business, working for the Lord & winning souls to Jesus Christ, like a wise person would.
