A Taste Of Timberwood - Dabbling

Timberwood: Short Stories Edition - Vol. 30

Cory Stanford, Freddy Griffin & Roberto Navarro, as well as a few others, felt curious, even after they had been warned about the dangers of joining Timberwood. After all the countless post-Timberwood support group meetings, they still wanted to see for themselves, what the Timberwood cult is like.

They snuck behind everyone's back. Their original intent was to just go for 1 day & then quit & leave. It doesn't work like that. They should've never joined. They basically recruited themselves & became INSTANTLY addicted, hoping that they could have some quick women & quick money, because they were on hard times & desperate.

Avinash Khan, from India, told them that they're in it for life, & that they couldn't leave. Roberto tried to change up his tune & said, "But wait a minute, Mon! There are people who left the cult. You can't just hold people hostage like that. Because then, it looks like human trafficking."

Avinash became infuriated & said, "The WHAT!?"

Roberto said, "Yep, I said it! The CULT! C-U-L-T. Now, do you want me to spell it again? I betcha I can shut this operation DOWN!"

Freddy started to freak out. He said, "Roberto. Chill! Don't get rowdy. Rocking the boat with these people is the last thing you wanna do. These people aren't to be played with."

Cory put his head down & said, "It's worse than we thought. We're doomed!"

Freddy called Gary Espinosa & Michael McConnell to the rescue. They were trying to hide what they did away from the post-cult crew, out of fear of being ostracized & no longer welcome; which meant for them to be homeless & having nowhere else to live.

All 3 of the guys blamed each other when confronted by Gary about whose idea it was to think they can just join for 1 day & then leave. Gary was really angry. He said, "& you wouldn't even learn everything there is to know about Timberwood in one day, anyway! It could take MONTHS, or even YEARS for people who've experienced it to see Timberwood for what it really is. What were you thinking? You recruited yourselves, so now you can rescue yourselves!"

But then Gary had some compassion & rescued them out, anyway. They felt traumatized & terrorized after being locked up in the room with Avinash. Some unspeakable things happened to them in less than 24 hours. They were embarrassed. During the next support group meeting, they were considered as the laughing stock of the meeting. They warned & begged everyone not to join or rejoin. They said it's not worth it. They wondered how they got out alive.
