Chicken Fight!

The weather was overcast on a gloomy Saturday. The children started to panic because they didn't want to have to go back home. The clouds started to get darker & heavier. Thankfully, there was no lightning or thunder. Just calm & peaceful, heavy rain. No warning of drizzle. Just pouring rain.

Jikozzio was hanging on the monkey bars when he freaked out & said, "Keilani, what are we supposed to do? I'm soaking wet, & my mom is going to be mad at me."

Keilani told him, "Oh, she'll get over it, just like the rest of our parents."

He said, "How?"

She told him, "I got an answer for you."

He said, "What's the answer? Help! We're getting more wet!"

She gazed into his eyes with the most SERIOUS facial expression. Without warning, she yelled, "Chicken fight!", & then they started chicken fighting on the monkey bars. It wasn't a fair fight, because she was 13, & he was 9. Of course, she beat him.

Other kids did some chicken fighting, too. They wanted to make their own personal little chicken fight tournament in the rain. Before you knew it, the HOT sun came out, & everyone dried off. Keilani told Jikozzio, "Worry no more! You're dry now."

At last, Jikozzio didn't get punished; like he thought he would. His dad came to the park to pick him up early. How did his dad know about the chicken fight? Or was it just a coincidence that his dad just showed up with a bucket of KFC? Was this a setup or a prank, all along? Who knows?
