Black History Memories

Hello, y'all. It's been such a hard struggle to survive, after the sadistic, Satanic, narcissistic gang stalkers ran me out of Pensacola. It's harder out here in Cincinnati, Ohio. There are many more job opportunities out here, but people are blocking me from housing/shelters, jobs, Social Security, food stamps, etc. & other assistance to survive. I get treated like I'm not welcome, everywhere I go, as a single, disabled targeted individual who's forced homeless & got out of both foster care & a cult. It's amazingly hypocritical how, the same people who don't want me to have any rights to survive or ask for help, are sleeping in warm, cozy, comfortable beds with the heater on. They have a stocked refrigerator & food pantry. A nice house & car. A loving family, a job, etc. I don't understand how they can be considered as better functioning than us. They're causing our suffering. They act like they have the authority to dictate that I don't have any right to survive, make a living, or exist. They try to force me to stop writing.

In hopes to EARN enough money for dinner to eat tonight & some bus fare for tomorrow, I'm going to write a short story. I'm sleep deprived, weak & hungry. So, I will try my best. I only have 88 cents in the bank & $1.53 in cash. The vending machine rejected my money. Please help & support.

Here's a fictional short story I did, last year, about Black History Month.

"Grandpa's Folk Tales"

Geralyn Marshall was sitting in the waiting room at the doctor's office because she had this persistent headache that wouldn't go away, no matter what she tried. She was bored & waiting all day for Dr. Schulte, so she picked up an Essence magazine that was sitting on another chair.

The receptionist called her name to get her blood pressure, urine test, weight, height, etc. The receptionist asked her, "Is Thurgood Marshall 1 of your ancestors?"

Geralyn said, "What kind of question is that? Marshall isn't too uncommon of a last name, last I checked."

The receptionist said, "Oh, I was just wondering."

Everyone in the waiting room started yapping their jaws, gossiping & laughing. 1 patient, Mr. McKinney, kept everybody edutained. It really did help the time pass by quickly. This man had EXPERT knowledge on Thurgood Marshall, George Washington Carver, Sojourner Truth, Wynton Marsalis, Aaron Neville, Mahalia Jackson, Langston Hughes, Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, WEB DuBois, the Civil Rights movement, the Black Diaspora, the Buffalo Soldiers, Emmett Till, Alex Haley & Roots, etc. You name it! Mr. McKinney was nicknamed "The Walking Black History Encyclopedia".

Mr. McKinney talked from back during the slavery days to the 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's, all the way up to our messed up culture nowadays. He said that he had an Army relative that eyewitnessed both the MLK assassination & the JFK assassination. People thought he was lying, but he was telling the truth. The man talked about the style & culture of our Black generation from back then until now in 2023. How did it dwindle? He talked about Rodney King, Tupac & Biggie. He also talked about Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant, Sandra Bland, Kenneka Jenkins, the Bloods & Crips in Los Angeles, the gangs in Chicago, New Orleans being the murder capital, the gay capital & the VooDoo capital. He talked about it all. He reminisced on hip hop from Public Enemy to NWA to R&B music to the decline & the filth that we see nowadays. He's disgusted by Cardi B, Chrisean Rock & Blueface, Travis Scott, Beyonce', Rihanna, etc. He talked about police brutality, the crack & AIDS epidemic to the opioid crisis & the fentanyl epidemic. He even talked about gentrification. It seemed ironic that he was immune to being ridiculed, attacked & called crazy for the stuff he was speaking on. Everyone felt intimidated, but believed every word he said.

Too bad that the conversation couldn't go on, because Dr. Schulte finally came in, & Mr. McKinney was the 1st patient to be seen for the day. Geralyn surely wanted to hear more. She wondered if the man was an African American History college professor. She didn't want to wait around for him because felt fearful of being looked at like a stalker weirdo. She just sucked it up & cherished that memory. She never saw Mr. McKinney again, but she always asked the receptionist, nurses & doctor about him every visit.

THE END
