Iconic Retro Nostalgia

It's 2023, & Clayton Everett Parker fulfilled his promise. He has a 13-year old autistic son, named Adam David Parker. Clayton has been saving some items from the 80's, 90's & 00's. His parents encouraged him to do it. Everything Clayton's parents bought for him, they always bought 2 or 3 extras. They told him, "Save it for your son, because stuff like this won't last forever."

For Adam's 13th birthday on Sunday, March 19, 2023, Clayton surprised him with a boatload of gifts. Adam was shocked & put his hands over his mouth. Adam said, "What is this? Christmas all over again?" Clayton jokingly responded, "Yeah. Christmas without a tree."

Adam's mom (Clayton's baby momma Hillary) came in the room, all enthusiastic & excited. Adam didn't understand the "retro items" birthday theme for his party. He was excited, nonetheless. Hillary told Adam to open the presents. Adam got other modern day gifts, as well. All of the party attendees stood around for him to open up the presents. He was shy.

He finally started tearing the presents open. The 1st present he opened was his BIRTHDAY CAKE! His teacher wrapped his birthday cake up, like a present. Also, the ice cream, but of course, the ice cream had to go in the freezer. Adam was surprised. Everyone else started singing, "Happy Birthday", as his parents started lighting up the candles. After that, everyone grabbed as much cake & ice cream that they wanted.

Adam was opening up even MORE presents. He received a San Francisco 49ers Starter Jacket, Deion Sanders Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 shoes to match, Fun 'Mentals pencils, Nickelodeon Yikes! pencils (Oh, he was fascinated with those!), a pogo ball, Nerf Balls, a Steve Urkel doll, a Super Soaker water gun, bell bottoms pants, a Nintendo Gameboy with a few games, a VHS cassette player with a few movies & shows, such as the Gumby show, & also a turntable & records for music. He had too many gifts to list. He even got a plaque with a Mariah Carey signed autograph that his mom bought off of eBay for a hefty price.

Some people thought that Clayton was a selfish narcissist who just wanted to live vicariously through his son & wanted all those gifts for himself, but that wasn't the case. His parents encouraged him to do this for his son. Adam enjoyed all of his gifts.
