Camden made straight A's on his report card. He couldn't wait to show his mom. For all of the straight A students, the principal, Mr. Maxwell, did a raffle drawing. Honorable Mention was a teddy bear. 3rd place was $30 gift certificate to the local Aquarium of the Americas. 2nd place was a $100 bike. 1st place was fine dining with the principal.
Camden won 1st place. He was able to pick out whatever restaurant in the city that he wanted & also pick out any meal off the menu. Sky's the limit. He picked out a restaurant, called "The Oyster Link". From The Oyster Link, he wanted to try oyster lasagna. Mr. Maxwell felt lucky for himself, too. He said, "Boy, this is going to be adventurous!"
They spent 4 hours at the restaurant, & Camden also had his personal little awards ceremony all to himself. He felt delighted!
The server, nicknamed, "Casual Cam", took their orders. Camden said, "Ooh, look! He has the same name as me."
Casual Cam said, "Not so fast, Lil' Man Man. My name is Cameron."
Camden looked puzzled. He said, "Well, can you go put on a different name tag to make your name look just like mine"?
Casual Cam said, "How about we both get a nickname that says, 'The 2 Cam's. Cool & casual."
Mr. Maxwell said, "Sure. He can work with that."
Camden was very inquisitive. Instead, they started calling him, "Curious Cam". They joked that his multitude of questions is what makes him so smart.
The drinks, appetizers & salad came out. They talked a little more. Afterwards, that oyster lasagna came out sizzling & bubbling. The flavor was better than expected.
Mr. Maxwell was impressed at how much Camden could eat, yet stay so tiny. Camden couldn't wait for dessert. Red velvet cheesecake brownies a la mode. They were SET!
Mr. Maxwell considered that to be both the best meal of his life & also the best day of his career. He considered lovely little Camden to be his favorite student, from then on.
