Hello, everyone. I came up with the title of this short story, WAAAAAY on March 27. Almost 4 months later, I finally get the opportunity to work on it. Been going through so much.
The short story reminds me of this one.

Rosanna & Aurora are both solo travelers from Auckland, New Zealand. They've traveled the world, visiting over 100 countries. They met at an airport in Zurich, Switzerland. Neither 1 of them have ever been to the US before, but they both want to see what it's like. Coincidentally, Rosanna was on her way to Detroit, while Aurora was on her way to Chicago. Their itinerary was identical almost up until the time they reached their final destination.
Once the 2 young women arrived at the Chicago airport, they felt sad to have to part ways, but they exchanged phone numbers & kept in touch.
Rosanna took the Greyhound bus from Chicago to Detroit because she's more adventurous, & she loves relaxing bus rides. She didn't mind the chaos & drama. On the bus, she met a guy named Ryder. Ryder isn't a solo traveler, & he isn't much of a traveler at all. But he traveled via Greyhound bus to see his niece at a dance competition. That meant the world to him.
Rosanna & Ryder kept in touch. One day, Ryder called up Rosanna, & she was telling him about Aurora & showing him pictures of her. She connected Ryder with Aurora. Ryder was trying to convince Rosanna & Aurora to believe that America is so boring. Aurora challenged him to explore the country because she wanted him to show more pride in his own country & have a change of heart. Ryder has an old, big green Dodge Ram van that's been sitting in the garage, inoperable (so he thought). Aurora wanted to pay to "Get that precious baby fixed up".
They all went to his house & saw the van. Surprisingly, the van was still running. It just needed a lot of mechanical work done on it & a total cosmetic makeover. The 3 of them worked on the van, themselves, & Ryder said, "Wow! Y'all are so good at fixing up this van, that y'all would give Habitat for Humanity a run for their money!"
Rosanna was confused & didn't know what he was talking about, but Aurora knew what it was & explained it to her. Aurora also gave the idea of staying on BLM land & visiting both national & state parks. They even stayed at hotels & motels. Before you know it, the 2 women would be giving Ryder a tour around his OWN country! Things & places that he never experienced before. Ryder can no longer allow himself to be so close minded. He learned to love traveling & wonder what he had been missing all of his life.
The 2 women wanted to add more to the adventure, so they adopted a Siberian Husky & a gray Tom Cat. The dog is named after Ryder, while the cat is named A.R., which are Aurora & Rosanna's initials. A.R. loved to follow Ryder the dog everywhere. The doggie didn't mind. Everyone loved each other's company & vowed to be inseparable for LIFE!
