The Beignet Challenge

This is probably the 1st time I've written a fiction short story so early in the morning. It's 5:25 AM. This will be a quick & silly/goofy short story.

Well, with me being wrongfully banned from the Riverwalk, I haven't been able to get beignets since then. I finally got to try Calas. I think I like beignets MUCH better! & I tried glazed beignets, & they disappointed me. They're over hyped & taste just like regular glazed donuts to me. I remember having beignets so much that I got tired of them, but it's been so long that I've been craving them lately. Right after I was done eating them yesterday, I thought of another short story idea.

Here's another short story that I wrote about Cafe' du Monde.

Me being wrongfully banned from the Riverwalk, due to the gang stalking lies, makes me feel very bitter & upset, I admit.

Here's another 1.

Clifford & his dad, Clifton, were visiting in town for the Super Bowl. They're from St. Louis, Missouri. The Super Bowl date so happened to be on Clifton's birthday. Instead of traditional birthday cake, they celebrated with some Cafe' du Monde beignets.

They love to have fun with each other. They were having a conversation about people getting so much powdered sugar on their clothes. Clifford has a mild form of OCD, so he didn't want to get all that white powdered sugar on his brand new purple LSU shirt.

Clifford got an order of beignets & orange juice, while his dad got an order of beignets & coffee. They sat down.

Clifton said, "I have an idea. "

Clifford asked, "What's the idea, dad?"

Clifton told him, "Let's do a challenge to try to avoid getting any of the powdered sugar on our clothes. Do you think you can do it?"

Clifford blushed & said, "Aww, dad! I'm tryna impress my lady tonight. What if she might be more OCD than me & act all nitpicky?"

Clifton said, "Well, son. You never know until you try." He said, "Are you ready?"

Clifford started to blush again & try to close his eyes & smile. He was a little embarrassed. Taking his time & being EXTRA careful. Clifton was reckless with it, anyway! & then they started chowing down. They both ate the beignets 1st & then drank the beverages afterwards.

Somehow, Clifford's shirt STILL ended up being messier than his dad's. They were both confused on how that happened. Clifford started to panic, because HE REALLY wanted to go out on that date with his potential new girlfriend.

It started raining hard, & they both got soaking wet. The rain was unexpected, so they didn't have any rain ponchos or umbrellas. They got DRENCHED! They laughed it off. They toured the French Quarter for 2 hours & were totally dry because it was a warm winter day. So hot that it felt almost like Summer. Well, more like a blend of Spring & Summer. Clifford's shirt ended up looking like no powdered sugar ever touched it. Clifton was looking at him, wondering who actually won the challenge. They agreed that they both won.

Clifford's date probably could never tell that there was any powdered sugar on his shirt, so he felt confident to go out on a date with her.
