Rich For 24 Hours

Nolan is a 27-year old Native American young homeless man, living on the streets. He's been homeless ever since aging out of the foster care system. During his foster care days, he unfortunately bounced around from foster home to foster home, & also always in & out of group homes. He never a day in his life got to experience any riches or comfort. He doesn't know what that feels like.

1 day, a YouTube street interviewer, named Ryver, (He calls himself "Dope Street Interviews" & interviews homeless all across the entire world.) stumbled across Nolan, while Nolan was dumpster diving right behind ALDI in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was 4 AM, & Nolan was DAYS of sleep deprived. Ryver is a happy-go-lucky early bird who just LOVES the world, loves life, & loves people.

Ryver approached Nolan, & Nolan jumped because he was afraid that it was a cop. He calmed down after he realized that Ryver was just a regular person.

Ryver said, "Morning, my man! How's it going?"

Nolan was afraid to talk at first. He ignored Ryver & kept snooping through the dumpster, collecting small jars of pickles & oatmeal packets. He even found a few cans of tuna. Something told Nolan that Ryver would be a harmless friend, so he let his guard down & let Ryver befriend him. Little did he know, that was the BEST day of his life!

Ryver said, "I know it's kind of early, & I understand you may not want to be bothered, but can I interview you for a minute for my YouTube channel?"

Nolan's eyes widened, & he was excited. Being sleep deprived, he mistakenly thought that Ryver was asking him to be on the news on TV.

Nolan told him, "Oh, great! I'd love to."

He put everything back in the dumpster, tried to dust off & tidy himself up as much as possible, & then they both began with the interview.

Ryver said, "What is your name?"

Nolan responded, "Nolan James Paddock".

Ryver said, "My name is Ryver Junior Miller, Jr.".

Ryver then asked him, "How old are you, Nolan?"

Nolan said, "I'm 27. I just turned 27, 2 weeks ago."

Ryver said, "Do you do drugs, or are you clean? Do you drink any?"

Nolan said, "No. I never have the money for those luxuries."

Another homeless man, named Richard, was trying to be funny, blasting Ray J's song, "One Wish" from his Bluetooth speakers, while drinking Four Loko".

Ryver told Richard, "Chill out, man! We're doing an important interview."

Richard was shocked & said, "Oh, I'm sorry. I ain't knowed!" He respectfully turned off the loud music & walked away.

Ryver said, I had another couple of questions that I wanted to ask you, but I'm sorry we got distracted.

Nolan told him, "Well, I can tell you my 1 wish. My dying wish."

Ryver said, "Your DYING wish?", & started to emotionally tear up.

Nolan said, "Yes. I'm dying of cancer all over my body. Latest stages. I know. I never got to feel comfortable or relaxed. What is that like? I don't want chemo because I know it will be another experience of discomfort. I'll just accept my fate. Even if it's just for 1 day, I would like to see what it's like to live like a celebrity or a king for 1 day. Just 1 day."

Ryver said, "I'm sorry, man. What's your idea of living like a celebrity? What's your idea of living like a king?"

Nolan told him, "You know better than I do."

Ryver rented a limousine for Nolan to ride in & then took him to a Marriott hotel & let him take a shower, get pampered at the spa, & then rest & sleep. Afterwards, they both ate at a 5-star seafood buffet restaurant. Nolan ate until he couldn't eat anymore. After the nap & early buffet dinner, Ryver took him to an upscale mall & let him splurge on whatever he wanted. He told Nolan, "Don't be shy." Even then, Nolan was still modest. Nolan got himself a classy dress suit, some old fashioned penny loafers, an iPhone & a designer watch.

Unfortunately, Nolan passed away right after breakfast the next morning, shortly after coming back to his hotel room. Everyone was sad. They treated him like their own family. A few days later, there was a funeral held for him, & he was referred to as, "King Nolan". Little did Nolan know, that he was picking out his funeral attire. A charity was named after Nolan. "King Nolan's Homeless Cancer Foundation".
