"Jeremy & Chris are preparing some care packages for the hospice patients, Dirk. Do you want to join them?", asked Marian.
Dirk questioned, "Who's organizing it?"
Marian replied, "Just them. Out of the kindness of their own hearts."
Dirk got excited & said, "Oh, sweet! Jeremy always had a charitable heart, just like his late granny."
Marian told him, "OK. Just to let you know, they went to Five Below & Dollar Tree. They're giving away 250 packages. The packages consist of Bibles, journals, pens, toiletries, games & snacks."
Dirk told her, "Alriiiiiiiight! Let's do this."
Jeremy & Chris were shocked to get a couple of extra hands of help, because Marian joined in to help, too. They moved quickly.
Marian told Jeremy, Chris & Dirk, "You know, it's pretty rare for someone to just RANDOMLY volunteer to do good deeds for others without expecting anything in return. Those hospice patients will be DELIGHTED that people are doing this personally without being tied to some organization. I wish there were more humans like this in the world."
The 3 men agreed.
When they got done preparing the care packages, some of the construction workers nearby were just getting off from work, & they also chimed in & helped. They all went to the hospice together.
The front desk receptionist was caught by surprise because people don't usually do much personal charity since most people are greedy & selfish, nowadays. She asked her supervisor, & her supervisor approved. The construction workers joined Jeremy, Chris, Dirk & Marian with handing out the packages & praying with the hospice patients. They were EVER so grateful & appreciative.
