BBQ Candy Legs

I came up with the topic idea for this short story on May 26, 2025. & then I didn't realize that my perp twin sister made a fake slanderous "Livestream" using the same title, a couple of days later. But I'm going to work on this fiction short story, ANYWAY! She always lies to her cult, saying that I always copy off of her. When it's the other way around. & she copies off of me, MOCKINGLY!

Ok. So, in real life, I probably was in about 3rd grade. & the former foster mom's sister, Mikki, had some friends over during 1 of those holidays. Probably 4th of July. Some of Mikki's friends' kids were bullying, harassing, laughing @ me & treating me mean. Maybe the BBQ chicken drumsticks gave the boys the idea to "tease" me & sing a song, "BBQ Candy Legs, BBQ Candy Legs, BBQ Candy Legs, BBQ Candy Legs", & they kept singing it. Sounding somewhat similar to the "Go, Go Power Wheels commercial". Years later, my twin sister tried to convince me to believe that they sung that song @ me because they liked me. Those boys weren't nice towards me.

Here's the short story.

A Trinidadian man, named Tyler, was walking with some friends at the mall. A woman described as looking like a "mixed exotical" was sitting down, charging her phone & eating a pepperoni twist pretzel & a blue raspberry granita from Wetzel's. She quickly stared into space for a bit & draped her right leg over her left, crossing her legs. Tyler almost MELTED! The young woman had a tattoo right above her left ankle that said, "Sexy Hot Cocoa". The guys don't know what she's mixed with. She has the skin color of milk chocolate, yet has hydrated loosely curled short, dyed honey blonde hair & EXTREMELY Asian-slanted looking hazel eyes to match her hair color. Tyler & his friends liked the woman from head to toe, but Tyler's main fascination was with her LEGS!

Tyler didn't have the guts to walk over to her, so he sent 1 of his friends, Ronnie, to spread the message. Ronnie walked over & told the woman, "Hey, pretty lady! My friend from Trinidad, Tyler, said that he wants to meet you, but is too shy."

The young lady responded, "Oh, really, huh?"

Ronnie said, "In fact, all 4 of us like you."

She blushed.

Tyler & the other guys excitedly jumped up & down, saying, "OMG! She's not stuck up!"

Ronnie asked the woman, "What is your name?"

The woman told him, "My name is Coralyn, & everyone calls me 'Cocoa'."

He said, "Well, me & my friends love your BBQ candy legs."

She bursted out laughing & said, "Boy, what? Get outta here! Y'all are so crazy."

Cocoa was intrigued by their accents.

They offered to take her out on a date, but she politely declined because she's already married. They felt hurt to find that out. So they respected her rejection & walked away with their heads down.

Another guy, named Shamonte', who overheard everything, ran behind her, chanting "BBQ candy legs!" & made a song out of it. He was an independent artist. He actually made it a hot record, just in time for Labor Day. Everyone was jamming to the song when it was played on the radio. He even ended up having a music video & a special dance routine for the song.

Cocoa & her husband, Courtney, were invited to make a cameo appearance in Shamonte's video. Both of their nicknames were "Coco/Cocoa". The video became a viral hit.

Shamonte' didn't want to sell out or become international. He wanted to stay independent because he didn't want to become a Hollywood industry puppet. He also wanted to keep his dignity & morals. He wanted full control over his music. Many people respected him for that. Even still, the "BBQ Candy Legs" song was still a bop.
