Josiah Connor & his wife, Faith, are both newlyweds & babes in Christ. They accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior on their wedding night. The preacher, Gilbert Osborne, secretly pulled them over to the side & handed them each a King James Version Holy Bible. They began to look through it.
Josiah was excited & wanted to challenge himself to see if he can follow the New Testament of the Bible to a T. He emotionally beat himself up every time he sinned. He tried to be like Daniel & pray 3 times a day. He even did lots of fasting.
One day, the couple linked up with a group of people who consider themselves as "radical Christians" who follow the "old paths". & with following the old paths, their friends, neighbors & even fellow church members would mock them & call them weird, cultish & extremely old-fashioned. People would say stuff like, "Wake up to the real world & get with the times. This is NOT the year 1896." Others would say, "What? Are y'all Amish or something?"
Josiah & Faith felt hurt by the comments at first, but they ignored the comments the more they grew in the Lord. Faith tried her best to follow what the virtuous woman was like, in the book of Proverbs, while Josiah was trying to be both like David & Daniel. He then decided that he wanted to be more like Paul. After a while, they both wanted to strive to be more like Jesus.
Josiah & Faith were so focused on Jesus that they didn't have any children throughout their marriage, for a while. After they felt like they were spiritually mature & seasoned enough, they decided that they wanted to train up their children in the way they should go. They were fruitful & multiplied. They had a quiver full of children. Even experiencing multiple births twice. 1 set of twins, 1 set of quadruplets & 5 singles. 11 children in all.
They taught their children to get on their knees & pray as soon as they were able to walk & talk. They wasted NO time! They were always playing the audio Bible & singing their psalms, hymns & spiritual songs. The children learned how to read at a young age. They were homeschooled, learned how to garden & farm & also run their own Christian-based businesses. They brought their Bibles everywhere they went. They spread the gospel to everyone they saw, even though nearly everyone rejected it, sadly. But they did THEIR part. They remained faithful.
