One day, a woman, named Genevieve, was invited to a baby shower by her friend, Iris. Now, Iris was a narcissistic, control freak fake friend. Iris treats Genevieve like as if she's mentally slow or lacks the MOST BASIC form of common sense.
Before the baby shower, Iris asked Genevieve if she wanted to go pick out some gifts from the dollar store. & she asked Genevieve, "Did you get your SSI check this month?"
Genevieve replied, "Yes, but I don't have much left over."
Iris asked her, "Well, how much do you have left? How much do you have in the bank? How much do you have ON you?"
Genevieve told her, "I have $11.28 in the bank, & also $4.50 in cash, that I have reserved for laundry. It's the end of the month & almost payday again."
Iris became INFURIATED! She paused for a bit. She angrily took a deep breath & asked, "Little girl, DIDN'T you just get paid? What did you spend it on? You need a payee or conservatorship because you're not responsible or mature enough to be able to handle money! Now, what did you spend it on?"
Genevieve became quiet.
Iris raised her voice & repeated, "WHAT. DID. YOU. SPEND. IT. ON.!"?
Genevieve looked confused & said, "I spent it on what I usually spend it on every month. All I'm able to spend it on is rent, bills, & whatever else I need, to survive. I usually never have any funds left over to be able to afford anything luxury. My apartment rent went up when my lease was renewed last month."
Iris told her, "You're lying! You wasted it on useless nonsense that you didn't have any business. & now, you have nothing to show for it. You need to learn how to stop acting like money grows on trees. Money is NOT manna from heaven!"
Genevieve said, "No, I'm NOT lying!"
Iris was like, "Alright. On Monday, I'm going to call up your landlord to see if you're telling the truth about the rent increase, because this doesn't make any sense."
They both went into Family Dollar to pick out a few items for the baby. Iris was lecturing Genevieve ike she was a misbehaved toddler.
Iris told Genevieve, "You are to pick out only 3 items. Do you understand? & YOU make sure that they're a dollar each. Go to the dollar section. Get a pacifier, a bib & ONE baby bottle!"
Genevieve obeyed Iris's commands. Iris didn't buy anything.
They rode to the baby shower, & Genevieve felt out of place. She was shy. She felt unwanted there. No one was friendly towards her, & everyone was kind of rude.
Did Iris smear campaign Genevieve before they arrived?
After Iris dropped Genevieve off at her apartment, Genevieve went to put down her stuff & take a shower. The ENTIRE time in the shower, both Iris's face AND name were VIOLENTLY, HEAVILY, forcefully unwanted & intrusive in Genevieve's mind!
Genevieve went to bed, wondering what she did or said wrong. She felt hopeless, useless & worthless. She reflected on her friendship with Iris & wondered why Iris treated her like that, especially with Iris being 5 years younger than her. She contemplated ending the friendship. She went to bed worried. She suffered insomnia all night. She finally went to sleep at 4 AM the next morning & got only 2 hours of sleep.
She woke up still bothered & angry. She quietly blocked & cut off ALL contact with Iris. Blocked her everywhere on social media & also blocked her phone number.
About a week later, Iris was kind of waiting around, pretty much stalking Genevieve in person. She wouldn't take "NO" for an answer, & she DEMANDED an answer for why Genevieve quit the friendship. Genevieve stood up to her, told her off, spit in her face, & then ran back inside.
All that Iris COULD do was just sit there in shock & look like a big dummy.
