Woman Of The Cross

Hello, everyone. This fictional short story is inspired by when the biological mom, Frances, used to say, "I'm a woman of da crawhsh, ya heard me!" I miss her dearly. I wish our family relationship was better.

Here it goes.

Florris Weatherby, a widow, was doing her morning cleaning routine after her breakfast & coffee moment. She was listening to a free Christian radio podcast, where they have discussions about events happening in churches all across America. & usually, they will throw in a song or 2.

1 song came on, called "Woman Of The Cross". The lyrics were something like, "I'm a woman of the cross. (Choir sings, "Oh yeah!") & Jesus is my only boss. (You're right.) If you go to hell, take it as a loss. (Exactly.) You might wanna grab some Voss. (What, water?)"

Florris told her husband, Leland, "I like what I hear. Do you know who sings this song, babe?"

Leland told her. I've never heard of it before, but I can Google the lyrics."

So, he googled the lyrics. The singer's name is Elizabeth Ross.

She said, "Elizabeth Ross? Wait a minute! I think I've heard of her before. She was at that gospel concert 2 years ago. She had another song that I liked. Her music is SO good! I can feel the Holy Spirit moving whenever I hear her music."

Leland immediately purchased all 14 of Elizabeth Ross's albums on Spotify, & Florris couldn't be any happier. Fun fact is that on all of Elizabeth Ross's albums, she has 14 tracks. She retired from making music, but still participates in a local women's ministry. All she needs is 4 more tracks, & it would make 200 songs. But it's only 196.

Some days went by, & Florris said that the "Woman Of The Cross" song is her favorite song of all time. So, she made it her daily routine to play that song to get her motivated every morning.
