A 9-year old boy, named Clifton (AKA "Baby Cliff"), suffers from moderate autism. He doesn't talk much, but when he does, he loves to ask for things he likes. Every morning after he wakes up, he always asks to listen to his favorite Christian song. This is what makes his day & gets him going.
His favorite song EVER, is an African song, called "Kasoze" which sort of translates to "He Will Never". Based on Hebrews 13:5. Even though he doesn't understand any foreign languages, he loves the instrumental aspect of the song. There are 2 versions.
1 is from Nqubeko Mbatha, which is on his album. This is the shorter version, which Clifton affectionately calls, "Little Kasoze".

Clifton likes "Big Kasoze" because that version is almost twice as long as the other version. Whenever "Little Kasoze" gets played, he has a meltdown. Whenever "Big Kasoze" gets played, he rejoices. He doesn't want to listen to the song alone. He likes for everyone in the room to listen to it, on repeat.
One day, his grandmother's best friend since childhood, Mrs. Sharon, lucked up & found a deal on some mp3 players on Amazon. She also got him some Bose noise cancelling headphones.
He likes lots of loud bass with the song. "Big Kasoze" is the only song that he wanted on his mp3 player. & he likes to play the song on repeat. All day, every day. The song even helps put him to sleep every night. Before he drifts off to sleep, you can hear him stimming in the bedroom. He rocks back & forth, humming & trying to whistle. He feels safe, sleeping in the bed with his mother. If he hears any song other than "Big Kasoze", it's like when you take a lollipop or a pacifier from a baby.
He's happy that he can now enjoy listening to the song whenever he wants, even though the song isn't in English. Maybe there's a reason why he finds comfort in no song other than "Big Kasoze". Reminding that God will never leave us nor forsake us.
